Project Spotlight: Elba London Lingerie
Elba London is a new UK-based lingerie start-up, specialising in the front closing bras.
Judith, the company’s founder, came to me in 2018 with a brief to create an online presence for the fledgling business, despite the physical product still being in the design and production stage. After meeting with Judith, we decided to focus on creating a site that set the aesthetic the brand wanted to emulate using carefully selected stock photography and colours chosen by the existing branding designer.
Elba London’s focus on easy front-fastening bras has won praise from the UK Design Council and funding from Arthritis UK. However, Judith was keen to make sure that her website (like the product) would appeal to all women and that nothing about it projected the product as something solely for the disabled or elderly market.
Now in 2019, we’ve come back together as the product is manufactured and the design further developed to create a new-look site in line with the product’s direction. Included are eCommerce facilities, new graphics and a tweaked colour palette, social media integration, ‘The Elba Edit’ blog and expanded pages including T&Cs, Sizing, Delivery etc.
