Project Spotlight: Cerulean Grey

Louise has years of experience working with brands consulting on the UK retail market and customer trends. She currently works with companies foreign manufacturing companies and is launching her website to bring her services to a wider audience with packages for small creative businesses to large enterprises. Louise herself says that, “I believe that to have a successful range you need to understand consumer buying habits, design trends, your customer and brand but also have a good understanding of how the final product is manufactured.”

Louise wanted her website to be “clean, soft, classic, welcoming, focused, but fun and creative” and to appear “clean, simple, straight to the point”. She was also keen to stick to grey tones throughout the site as a reflection of the company name (see her About page for an awesome explanation of this!) and to not distract from her content. I introduced a blue-grey colour to soften the look up slightly which Louise loved and we utilised hand-drawn style custom icons to bring out a “fun and creative” element without having to introduce colour.

We also introduced a blog with a custom coded sidebar so Louise can share her love of all things design and retail while building SEO and showing website visitors she knows what she’s talking about! The Cerulean Grey shop launches soon, selling PDF trend forecasting documents. I set Louise’s shop up for her, uploaded her product and styled the store and checkout to blend seamlessly into the rest of her site. Louise is still adding the finishing touches to her products so I provided a screen recorded video showing her exactly how to make her shop go live when she’s ready.

Kayleigh has just built my website and I could not recommend her enough. She made the whole thing stress free!! From start to finish she was organised and thorough. She is incredibly talented and knowledgable and this completely put me at ease. I love the website she built as she stayed true to my brand and it looks amazing. Thanks again Kayleigh!
