Project Spotlight: Elizabeth Stiles

Elizabeth has over a decade of experience working for some of the biggest clothing retail brands in the UK. After years in the industry, she has set out on her own as a consultant for those looking to build their own fashion brand or clothing retail business. Elizabeth was really attracted to a clean look with large images, white space and parallax scrolling but also loves the aesthetic of scrapbooking, mark making and bold colours. As she was drawn to clean designs but also to colour and a ‘quirky’ or ‘scrapbook feel’, it was a little challenging to find a way to make ‘clean’ and ‘scrapbook’ work together but we settled on using a mix of clean lines, white space and hand drawn elements in the colour palette she provided.

Elizabeth had some beautiful on-brand images (shot by the wonderful Sophie Carefull), so we had some gorgeous visuals to get us started. Full-width banners with similar images from the same section of their photoshoot really helped to create uniformity and consistency and avoided the bold scrapbook elements from making the site disjointed.

We got a blog up and running and integrated her instagram feed to help her promote her packages. Elizabeth is a insta pro, so check out her feed if you're looking for inspiration!

Kayleigh was very open to my ideas and made everything look better than what I had in my head! The follow up so far has been really useful too as I’m new to [Squarespace]! Definitely would recommend working with her for a fun but professional site!
